Consider all that we provide on this great river:
At Least Two Boats and Two
Guides Per Oregon Rafting Trip. We pride ourselves on providing the safest
possible trips for rafting in Oregon! On all of our Upper Klamath trips we
always have at least two licensed guides on the water. We believe that the safest
possible trip starts with appropriate staffing and that just one guide on the
water is not as effective as two or more. Therefore, we always have at least
two boats and two guides on each trip.
 Full Safety Orientation and
Gear. Before each Upper K trip we provide a thorough safety and
instructional presentation. As part of our full safety gear ensemble, each
guest is provided with a specially designed rafting helmet, wetsuits, and when
needed, paddle jackets.
Experienced Class IV and V River Guides. Each Upper Klamath
trip is led by guides with years of experience rafting challenging class IV and
V rivers in Oregon and beyond. This wealth of experience results in trips
operated by guides who know well the Upper Klamath and who have the skills
necessary to run the safest possible trips.

here. The Upper Klamath is a solid class is a class IV-IV+ river.
The river is primarily pool and drop, which means it has rapids that are
followed by calms. Over 40 rapids pepper the 17-mile stretch we run, with a
couple of long, challenging class IV+ rapids, several class IV drops, and
numerous class III-III+ challenges.
River Difficulty Scale: Class I is
flat water and Class VI is unrunnably difficult. Class II has current with
small waves and some obstacles.Class III rapids are fun and thrilling, ideal
for first-time and experienced rafters. Class IV whitewater is great for
experienced rafters and reasonable for fit first-timers who have had some
warm-up in class III. Class V is very difficult and for experienced river
rafters.

What to Bring and Wear Shorts, t-shirts and
sport sandals or tennis shoes are usually suitable for summer Upper Klamath
trips, along with the wetsuits we provide. The water on the Upper K is
typically very warm; we provide wetsuits as protection from the sharp volcanic
rocks. However some days can be cool, especially if the wind comes up. As such
we ask that you also bring a
synthetic fleece sweater or jacket and wind breaker or
rain gear in case you get cold. Also, straps for prescription glasses and sun
glasses are required. In addition it is recommended you bring a water bottle.
All the above clothing will get wet. Therefore, be sure to bring an extra "dry"
set of clothes for after the trip. For two day trips we will provide a complete
gear list.
